RED VELVET CAKE
Kali ni nak share resipi kek yang saya akses di JoyofBaking website. Resipi kek ni simple. Jom tengok bahan2nya.
Bahan2:
2 1/2 cups cake flour [sifted]
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp food red colouring [liquid]
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp bicarbonate soda
Cara2 menyediakannya:
1. sift flour, salt & cocoa powder.
2. beat butter until soft [about 1-2 mins].
3. add sugar & beat until light and fluffy [2-3 mins].
4. add eggs, one at a time. beating well after each addition.
5. add vanilla extract & beat until combined.
6. in cup, whisk the buttermilk & red colouring.
7. alternately add flour mixture & buttermilk to the butter mixture, in 3 additions, beginning and ending with flour.
8. in small cup, combine vinegar & bicarbonate soda. allow to fizz and quickly fold into the cake batter.
9. bake for 25-30 minutes [if divided by 2 pans].
*** kek ni sepatutnya ada 2 lapis, sbb itu resipi asal suruh letak dlm 2 baking tins yg sama saiz. macam saya, takde baking tin yg sama besar, jadi saya bakar je sebiji kek tu dan saya cuba potong dua sampai senget benget jadinya..he3.

Inilah rupa 1st try red velvet cake saya yang tak berapa menjadi warna 'red velvet' nya tu. Next time saya kena letak pewarna merah lebih sikit kot. Rasanya, sedap dan lemak2. Bolehlah nak cuba.
